As part of our first release of swimwear, within this collection there is a story of swimsuits called the Stella. These are not ordinary swimsuits. They have been created by the hands of a beautiful Balinese man that hand dyes his fabrics the traditional way. It’s quite an ancient creative process with textile makers in many cultures both from east and west and islands lost.

When we saw this fabric, we fell in love with it’s depth and the consistency of colour, it’s dark but earthly tones and loved the idea that each swimsuit would have a slight variation. We found the marbled variation inspiring and moody that gave a feeling of liberty. This is one of the foundations of authentic craft in creating beautiful fabrics for swimwear and clothing that will be ever-present for Saint Helena now and in the future.
